This is another version of the poem someone sent to me. Version one is here. Version two is:
A Belly of Content [v.2]
By Little Echo
Depression rode the waves
Of one so lonely and depressed
When a knight in shining armor
Came to this damsel in distress
Smitten by his attentiveness
She was rapidly swept away
By the swiftness of his charm
And a passion .... 'til today
But the gathering of his motives
Will eventually come to light
For his true intent's been hidden
Like the armor on a knight
But another day would pass
Before she finally met her fate
She was charmed by his spell
But now it's way too late
Here she lies without a care
Like the one who's laid before
Never knowing she'd been 'taken'
By the man whom she adored
She'd handed over the reigns
To such a man of guile
If only she could have seen
His evil ways and not his smile
Blinded by his brilliance
It's now too late to see
His control had quickly started
Down the road to her finality.
Now lies a lost and precious soul
Never to see his real intent
Will he find another in distress
..... To fill his belly of content
This is beautiful and oh how faitfully we tumble, into arms not worthy. :(
